Lee

We've always known Lee was destined for a gym. When he was a crawler, he made his way up the chairs onto the window sill, where he delighted in perching and looking out the window.

When he was a toddler, he climbed the cupboards.

When he was three, he terrified folks watching him by leaping off bleachers, steps, stairs, anything high. When the bulging-eye hand-wringing folks reported to Carrie, she always replied, "Well, do what we do. Just don't look."

He always landed on his feet. He has always been athletic, muscular and supple. Now he has a place to let it all out. Carrie located a wonderful gym near Green Bay with great trainers who really relate to the kids in a positive program.

This is one happy kid!!

He follows directions well, has fun with the kids he works out with, and is quickly becoming a proficient gymnist. The coaches are really pleased with him. He is pretty focused, for an 11 year old.
One of the things he could hardly wait to show me was the climbing rope. His goal is to climb it without using his feet. His grandpa Dennis used to do that...Lee is built a lot like him.
At the top, they get to ring the bell!

Lee works hard. At the end of the hour, you can tell he has given it his all.

He gets to do this twice a week. He's aiming for the boy's competitive team, someday.

He'll need a job for that, it's not a cheap sport.
But sure is fun, for a kid who is half monkey!

  1. It's so fun to see all these pictures of the boys and the things they've been doing. It is especially nice to see how involved they are in their music. It must have been a wonderful time for you!
