We took a sunny morning excursion to Ankeny Wildlife Refuge, about 15 minutes from the Farr house - lucky duck, to be that close! The very first thing we saw had Becky doing contortions out the car window with her very fancy and HEAVY camera ... then she eased open the door and took another 2 dozen shots...
and she finally couldn't stand it, hopped out of the car, scurried down the lane, and kept shooting...
at this totally oblivious Eagle. This photo is actually mine, it was hard to get a good angle with SOMEONE else hogging the sweet spots - but we won't name names. ( Besides, she has a better toy...and an artist's eye for the choice shots. And she shares *U*)
